Post your job profile

We're looking to build a cross section of the jobs available in the UK, finding out what they really mean and how you could get into them.

And what better way is there to get the inside-track on jobs than to ask the people who do them on a day-to-day basis?

As a thank you to everyone who sends in a job profile before 31st May 2008, you will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a Nintendo DS Lite. Terms & Conditions

All you need to do is email theeditor@monster.co.uk with answers to the questions below and let us know your name, the company you work for, and your job title. We'll also need you to attach a picture to bring your profile to life.

We’ve included some rough guidelines to follow below each question, just remember to keep your answers brief and informative. Around 100-150 words for each question will be ideal. If you're not sure where to begin, take a look at the job profiles already online.

Questions

1. What made you want to be a [JOB TITLE]?
(when did you decide, what other options did you consider?)

2. What skills and education are essential to your job?
(is there significant on the job training, or are certain experiences necessary?)

3. What advice can you offer someone wanting to become a [JOB TITLE]?
(think in terms of ways to break into the industry and how to progress)

4. What are the best and worst aspects of your role?
(what gives you job satisfaction and what are the most frustrating tasks?)

5. Are there any perks to the job?
(try to include an example of a freebie or regular discounts you receive)

6. What is the end goal in your career?
(How does your current role fit into your overall career plan?)

(keep this to a few words, i.e. “…securing a multi-million £ deal”)
